Your First Visit
During your first visit, we'll asses your total health picture by asking questions to learn about your lifestyle and work habits. This allows us to uncover the core problem and causes of your condition. We'll review the nature and extent of your condition together to determine if chiropractic is a good fit. If chiropractic is not suitable for your condition, we'll gladly refer you to the appropriate health care provider.
Physical Exams & Digital X-Rays
We’ll determine your general health status and identify specific problems through orthopedic, neurological and spinal examinations and postural analysis. If needed, we'll also use digital X-rays to access your health condition.
Customized Treatment Plans
We'll develop a personal treatment plan for you. Treatment methods may include spinal manipulation, electrical muscle stimulation and intersegmental traction. The effects may be immediate or may take time depending on your general health, lifestyle, past history and regularity of chiropractic care.
Your plan may also include lifestyle counseling like work ergonomic advice or exercises to build flexibility, strength or overall well-being. While our first goal is to relieve pain, the larger goal is to restore good health. Good health cannot be attributed solely to medication, surgery or chiropractic adjustments. It comes from an overall healthy lifestyle and proper spinal function.
Chiropractic for Children
Spinal therapy is safe for kids of all ages, according to research done by The International Chiropractic Pediatric Association. We offer affordable programs for kids to treat problems related to the nervous and musculoskeletal systems. These programs are gentle, non-invasive and done without drugs or surgery.
Chiropractic for Pregnancy
One of Dr. Likins' specialties is chiropractic care during pregnancy. Pregnant women who receive chiropractic treatment may benefit from less back pain, reduced pelvic discomfort and shorter labor times. Postpartum benefits include more comfort while breastfeeding and less incidence of postpartum depression.
